I have two boys and in summer I love keen sandals because they are great for running around but man do those little feet stink when they wear them. I assume it would be true of girl feet as well.

Also, the best inland surfing in the world (or so I hear).

I refuse to defend Ivanka but my second kid loved his sleep sack and wore it until he was 2. It’s not developmentally inappropriate at all to wear a blanket to bed. You should really be focusing in on what mom here is wearing to put her kid to bed. That does not seem appropriate to me.

My second one did. Our house is cold at night and it worked for him but it’s definitely not the norm.

The kid is in his sleep sack (it’s a thing) and jammies. He’s probably just about to go to bed and she’s dressed like that? No way she puts him down herself. Hug mommy and then nanny puts him in bed (after nanny takes the picture).

I am fortunate beyond words right now. I have a loving caring mother and two small wonderful children, but I struggled with miscarriage and infertility, and have friends who have lost their moms or had terrible moms or have lost children, and I know this holiday can be so hard for so many people. Two gorillas recently died at our zoo of illnesses of as yet unknown origin. It is heartbreakingly sad as they were the parents of an 8 month old and two of three adults in a family unit. I’ve been so sad about and this is a little bit comforting. Gorillas are better people than most people.
