What!? No!
Also pregnant, husband has been in the guestroom since about 14 weeks. We made it into the second trimester with the first but figured who were we kidding with this one. It’s the only way to go.
Yeah, but in a wolf in sheep’s clothing kind of way. He’s the worst.
Maybe y’all could work something out. Best wishes!
Unless you are also a guy, you probably never had a real shot anyways.
I live in Milwaukee county. I cannot for the life of me understand how this man keeps getting reelected running as a democrat! The past two primaries have offered a strong alternative in Chris Mewes (not sure of spelling), who is endorsed by like everyone. I think it comes down to republicans crossing over to vote for…
Here, here. I’ll be 28 weeks on Friday with my 2nd and I already feel yucky again. The 2nd is the only good trimester and some poor women don’t even get to enjoy that.
Congratulations! Yup, even after spending years wanting nothing more than to be pregnant, actually being pregnant can be pretty yucky.
I think it varies by airline. I believe some are like 4 weeks to 6 weeks before your due date you can’t fly, but I’m not sure. I know cruises won’t let you on after like 24 weeks, it’s early.
That actually worried me, but ultimately if it was totally necessary he would have. You can use syringes and other things until they are desperate enough to take a bottle. We started a sippy cup at around 4 months. I’m pregnant with my second and hopeful he will take a bottle as it would provide flexibility. However,…
This was my situation too. Stubborn little things.
I agree 100% about the daycare thing. I also think we should have paid maternity and paternity leave (if one chooses not to use it, fine). My husband and I both have jobs that let us put our children first. We are extremely lucky that way, and I just think it would be nice if those who went to spend more time with…
Yeah, he thought I could be back in class two weeks after giving birth. Nice guy, but totally clueless. Good thing fmla said otherwise.
In trying to work out my family leave for next semester my department chair actually suggested that I wear the baby to class as a solution. You cannot leave a very young newborn for more than an hour or two if you are breastfeeding. At least not for a month or so. In my case, a better solution luckily presented…
A baby in a hospital that’s not a patient is probably disruptive. I said if they were not disruptive. I personally can imagine scenarios in which it would be okay, like the one the author found herself in. That is all I said. Good on you and your mom for working so hard to balance career and family, but for some…
Isn’t that the point of her complaint. We tell women they need to do it all, be the best mom, have the career, and when she tried the same feminists who were arguing for that stood in her way. Maybe I misunderstood her point.
Not all babies will take a bottle and not all mom’s choose to pump.
Pumping doesn’t work for everyone and isn’t everyone’s choice even if it does work.
If you are nursing an infant you cannot be away from them for that long, 2-4 hours depending on their age. Since we don’t have proper maternity leave, then we should be able to take our babies with us to work provided it is not overly disruptive. That said there was this couple in my department when I was in grad…
