I hope that Romacing SaGa 2's English translation + mobile port are at least decent. The only things I really know about it is that it is very difficult (being a SaGa game) and has one of the best final boss themes of all time.

Unless you’re talking about the multiplayer, this game is not at all generic. It’s fast, frantic, fun and has large, exploratory levels.

Also of note: the person that spearheaded the Doom Windows port was Gabe Newell.

It’s easy to look at this and think that “Sure, this is difficult for modders, but Square-Enix has tons of resources, and these modders are working for free!” but the key aspect is that the modders are, well, working for free. It doesn’t matter how long something takes if they’re not getting paid.

People keep saying that the campaign is great, but spending an hour on a mission only to fail the last objective does NOT sound fun

Star Ocean is one of those series that has plenty of fans, but none of them will prsise it without also shittalking it immediately after.

If you think this game is unforgiving, just play Final Fantasy III. It makes FF1 look like Mystic Quest.

The coolest part of this is that there isn’t even a fully functional fan translation of it out there. So this isn’t like Cave Story or Final Fantasy V where people have been able to play it for years.

It’s the FFVI evade bug all over again!

This film probably holds up a lot better when it’s in the background. Doing something else and occasionally glancing at over-the-top anime action playing in the background might help make that film enjoyable.
