Ooooooh. Right. Women.

"All but two of the "ten artists conservatives should blacklist" are women or people of color."
Sorry, but I feel like I'm taking crazy pills: ALL of these people are white (sometimes very VERY white), except for Psy (Korean) and Kanye West (Black). This seems like a whiter list than if you had taken a random slice of

I could be wrong, but I thought it came out easier than it goes in? Still doesn't sound like the most comfortable thing in the world...

And really, if you're looking at the study from the perspective of "what do Diet Coke drinker's mouths look like?" you have a sample size of motherfucking one. ONE! UNO. How is that a study?
That's like calling anti-smoking ads with the lady with the hole in her throat a study.

If you think 10 pounds an inch is reasonable, you sound pretty dense to me.

That's exactly why I went by BMI. You're right, it's inaccurate, but it's not as crazy as you're making it out to be either. What you're essentially saying is "The BMI is crazy, so let's multiply it by 2.5 and use THAT as a rule"

You are completely COMPLETELY missing the point. Anyone can see that a "4 pound" rule is much better than a 10 pound rule, completely regardless of BMI. The "10 pound per inch" rule isn't an old measurement — it's a clearly wrong measurement. You're latching onto my use of BMI to say "ha! You're clearly wrong because

That was my first thought, before I even read the picture :-p I'm seriously annoyed at Jezebel... again.

I seriously have no idea why you're defending the "10 pounds" rule. I did some math, and played around with a BMI calculator and you'd actually have a pretty good rule of thumb if you used "4 pounds per inch," but, like I said, the only reason you THINK 10 pounds works is because you're pinning it to something

1" in height should be 10 pounds more in weight? How is that going to work? If I'm 6', that's 72"... 720 pounds? Even if it only "works" within a very narrow range, it doesn't make any logical sense, and the only reason it would "work" is because you're pegging it to something reasonable (say 5'5" and 120 pounds) —

I know a few people in design school for clothing, and it doesn't take talent, it takes years of dedication, passion, and practice. Also, in order to run your own plus size clothing company, you need an MBA way more than you need an MFA.

I did. She seems about as bright as every other 20 year old/teenager. Not extremely, but she doesn't seem dumb either.

Source?

On the other hand, it's a really really cheap lab. (Not to mention salaries). The figure is definitely ambiguous.

I don't think the $325,000 figure the media keeps talking about is for the meat itself. It's probably for the lab/equipment. Although I'm perfectly willing to admit I'm wrong if someone has any evidence at all to the contrary.

Boston, at Great Scott, fourth Saturday of the month! ;)

So I do performances as a drag queen (despite the name I'm a cis-female. I just happen to be a drag queen, with the giant wig/forehead-scraping fake lashes/6" heels/huge sequin dresses/etc. — long story as to how this came about). One of the most important parts of being a drag queen, or any powerful performer is

I forgot my keys today, but I choose to climb a nearby fence and then onto the roof of a shed and pull myself over the railing of a second story fence, then look around to make sure no neighbors saw me (it's a college town, no one knows their neighbors) and pry open the kitchen window. Her way is much safer :-p

Target sizes are so huge already though. I'm a pretty normal sized person (6', female despite the name, 150 pounds) and I wear XS shirts there, and M in traditionally "skinny" brands, like Urban Outfitters or Everlane. XL, which Target usually carries, is pretty big.

I also want that job! Do share!
