Uh.. The “original” just looks like it was shot in low resolution with low framerates while “remastered” looks higher resolution and 60 fps. Playing the original on PC now, it doesn’t look or run close to that bad.

With the resolution multipliers, when you add one be sure to watch the temps on your GPU. It likes to heat them up pretty quickly and you may need to set a custom fan curve.

If there was actual life in Elite I’d probably play it more. It’s very sterile.

For me, the moment I switched vsync off I had no performance issues. (4790k, GTX 1080) I’m quite enjoying it! Taking the route of the Atlas so far and ran into some pretty neat stuff.

It sounds like they are in the throws of somewhere in between shock and panic mode. It’s quite possible there’s just a bit of bad code (or missing code), server config., etc. that is keeping people from seeing each other. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that they will fix it.

King of the Hill mode is probably the best place to start if you’re new to Arma 3. It has structure, is relatively easy to understand if you’re coming from Battlefield or another game like that.
