This is true. Sometime in the 90's I took a Ford Escort GT on a trip to Upper Michigan. What would take about 5 hours in the summertime, took 14 hours. 3+ feet of snow and pretty bald tires, the damn car just seemed to ride on top of the snow like a little perky boat!

As a repair ship owner that lives in a very snowy region, not many people here use snow tires. I’ve used them in the past and, yeah they do work a bit better but if you know how to drive in this crap, All-Seasons work just fine. That being said, I would definitely recommend snow-tires to those of the yuppie…

2160x1200 at 90 FPS minimum. That requires a pretty hefty PC. It’s completely warranted.
