This gets discussed around here a lot, so I’ve been paying attention to the cars around me on my morning commute (in Houston, so definitely truck and SUV country). There are plenty of small and medium cars on the road. It’s just that none of them are American. Honda, Toyota, Kia are everywhere.

I think a good hybrid system is the sweet spot for towing. Have the electric system to get the load moving, but rely on a gas or diesel engine for distance. Or like your photo, use an ICE engine to run a generator to power electric motors, with no physical connection to the wheels. I have no idea what this would do to…

That includes helmet laws, mandatory insurance laws, and just obeying fucking stop signs, right of way, and not acting like the traffic laws…
