Trump’s problem is not his inexperience. It’s that he’s a moron who believes he’s a genius, and has no interest in listening to those smarter than him.

Oh definitely, her and Trump’s presidential campaigns actually have a lot in common with the railings against wall street and special interests controlling politicians. Then again, she was also anti war on drugs and pro environment, which he never even pretended to be, and now she lives in her own fantasy world while…
The way people were criticizing this movie for having a white woman feel bad about herself and not think about all the people less fortunate than her truly struck me as the “what about the children in Africa!” of critiques.
Very anti-Bush, campaigned for Kerry, went insane in 08 about needing to beat the Republicans, ran for Green Party in 2012.
The revival makes me laugh, but there’s something about Roseanne (the character and actress) that’s very off. The character seems unnecessarily hostile, even when attempting to comfort her children, and the actress seems beamed in from another planet. She wanders into every scene seeming slightly confused.
Similar to Roseanne Barr, who was kind of the stereotype of knee jerk, ignorant liberalism, and who now hangs out with alt righters on Twitter.
I hated this movie so much because the two main characters were so bland and unfunny. At least Kate Hudson got some laughs from being the worst.
Didn’t they do a “go public” story in like season 4, and Papa Pope just killed a bunch of people and Huck was scared to testify?
According to Wikipedia, he’s worked behind the scenes since the show ended and has kept in touch with Barr and been on her other projects.
I found the jokes in this one really funny, and Roseanne Barr seemed to grasp her character more. I guess the jokes about Jackie were mean, but they made me laugh. Wish John Goodman had more to do, but otherwise I enjoyed it.
This is like the one reboot I’d be excited by. I think they’d do great work lampooning the Trump administration, and I just miss all those characters so much.
My point is that she criticizes Stand Your Ground and The War On Drugs while not minding that Jeff Sessions is the Attorney General and loves that shit. And that she’s praised single payer health care and is now cool with whatever the GOP was offering as an alternative. The Tax Bill is not helping people, most people…
Also, she’s pretty clear to distinguish herself in interview as just some normal, center left women who doesn’t know what the hell happened to the Left in the United States. And talks a lot about shaking up the status quo and what not, as if tax cuts for the rich isn’t the definition of status quo.
Roseanne Connor voted for Trump because she’s meant to reflect struggling working class voters who thought he cared for them (and ignoring the obvious dissonance of an openly progressive feminist not only voting for Trump, but loving him so much that she dismisses everything against him as fake news)
Roseanne Barr’s politics are all over the place and ridiculous. She still considers herself a left wing socialist, and her interview comments about Trump are about how he’s actually really progressive. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/roseanne-barr-us-would-be-900413 https://www.thedailybeast.com/roseanne-barr-i-…
It’s weird that the show always forgets that Cyrus is bad! Like when they had a whole season trying to make us feel bad for him being framed for murdering someone he truly loved, only to reveal that nope, he did kill him! I bring that up a lot, but it’s only because its incredibly fucking stupid.
Jane The Virgin creator Jennie Snyder Urman was also a writer this season, as well as on Rebecca Rand Kirshner’s 90210. So at least this season created some life long friendships.
Michaela has said a bunch of times that she wants to be Michelle and for Asher to be her “white Barack”, and Simon is supposed to be a Dreamer who is going to be deported, but it was still a good episode!!!! Bonnie and Olivia couldn’t come face to face because Liza Weil was on Scandal in the first season.
I am amused by Scandal’s fantasy world where two Republican Presidents are such advocates for racial justice.
I always assumed that in between filming scenes, Candace Cameron regaled the cast with tales of how they’re all a bunch of sinners that will burn in hell while Bob Saget just screamed a bunch of F-bombs.
