Absolutely. As a professor I see so many students with the attitude "What do I need to know/write for the exam?" But the best way to get the good grades is to concentrate on learning the course and understanding the syllabus, forgetting about the exams until you reach the revision period.

Plus, if you have a Roomba storing your guitar off the floor is important.

Your criticising a bunch of things I never wrote.

"If I need my fix, I need it THEN"

Agreed. Cool to show, kids, nephews and nieces but no more use than a normal false back against burglars or police.

I Just don't get gamification, and I have tried some of these sites and always ended up thinking "meh". Why should I care if some software awards me a couple of points today? It doesn't mean anything.

use a good quality basalmic then.

I think you're really brave talking about this the way you have.

For me chores had to be done therefore they were not linked to pocket money. My pocket money had to cover hobbies, club subscriptions, pet food, birthday/christmas presents, holiday money and when I was older my lunch money. If I splurged on sweets then I had to go without other things I wanted to do/have.

If you use your girlfriend she won't hang around for a year.

cheap tents only last one or two outings. One that costs 2-3 times the price tents should last you 20 years of use (once or twice a year). It's worth buying the more expensive one and storing it.

"Unless you live in a city with really fantastic public transportation, you probably spend a good amount of time in your vehicle."

You want to buy that thing now. Imagine yourself in six months time. Will you still be pleased that you've made that purchase? Unless you're confident you can say yes, then what's the point in buying it?

I find that drinking caffeine is no quick fix for a caffeine crash. Once I get that type of headache it's really pernicious for 5 or 6 hours. If I know I'm going to be in a coffee free zone for 24+ hours I'll deliberately taper off my caffeine drinking a couple of days before.

Superb idea. Can Brits choose the scottish option so that they get through to someone in GB?

It's pretty clear that this article means lowering a thermostat for heating not cooling.

"Obviously, you're not using the right magnets"

This is a solution to a non-existent problem. The time it takes to attach/detach a decent bike light is negligible. With a magnet, the light will fall off as soon as you ride over a significant bump.

Show your "triangle" on a web cam? Should be an article for the "After Hours Lifehacker"

I thought these "myths" stopped being "myths" years ago. Of course that doesn't mean the articles worthless, just an odd choice of words.
