Because of course.

FTC regulates anything that isn’t intended to treat, cure, or prevent disease. FDA only steps in when a consumer or consumer whatchdog steps in and says “This product is actively causing harm”, which is almost always followed or joined by “Wait. This product claims to treat/cure/prevent disease. Anything that makes

This is a great reminder of why the FDA isn’t all evil. There’s a current trend toward ‘indie’ cosmetics and while I’m sure many are tested and perfectly safe - they aren’t all tested by the FDA and could use unsafe products. Nothing against indie products, but if you’re buying an indie product, you better know what’s

The response by the company - talk to the employees and tell why unions are not the way to go.. is an old anti-union tactic that is still sold/presented to corporations by anti-union companies that sell their wares to HR departments all across corp america. It’s the oldest in the book. Tell why you’re so great and

Can’t wait until Trump gets rid of all those pesky regulations at the FDA!

Sure, but regulation killed poison makers’ jobs.

tbh I would love “trigger warnings” on any theater experiences that requires audience participation, which is probably my least favorite thing on the planet.

My guess would be that audience members who stayed were annoyed at audience members who were leaving for blocking their view?

This is an issue that I have with a lot of “immersive” theatre. There may be a possiblilty of learning from RPGs, but any interaction has to be stage managed to preserve the flow in the intended direction, and I don’t find it any more “authentic” or “real” an experience than having a proscenium and an illusory fourth

Er, Broadway shows are a fortune, even if it’s not Hamilton or The Lion King. There is mostly privilege of all kinds in those seats every night.

This is what we have reviews for. The onus is on the consumer to research what they pay for. Although there are some cases in which one who is selling a product is at fault, this is not one of those moments.

I’m not sure knowing the book puts you on notice for seizure-inducing strobe lights during the play.

I can honestly say having seen both the film and the play that the play was soooo much better. In this case I’m with your mom, the movie was kind of gross and not fun in comparison.

Usually I avoid the hell out of anything that’s labeled “torture porn” but I’m genuinely curious how they are managing to freak people out with a stage performance.

This is something thing my dad always said to my mom before they made it into a movie- if it was movie about a guy that kills people and makes them into pies and my dad asked my mom to go see that movie she would never even consider. Put it on broadway/in London and add some music and it becomes a cultural

Is it flaunting literary privilege to say that anyone going into a production of 1984 without some idea of what they’re going to see deserves what they get?

Usually I avoid the hell out of anything that’s labeled “torture porn” but I’m genuinely curious how they are managing to freak people out with a stage performance. The last (only) Broadway play I saw was Sweeney Todd and it was plenty tame considering it’s about murder and cannibalism.

People didn’t do it; Us did (and Us was recently sold to the pro-Trump American Media; the Enquirer publisher). That’s why.

Wow. That People article is seriously licking Ivanka’s ass. And it’s brilliant given that a lot of GOP women read people. It’s all total bullshit, but it’s not written like bullshit for people who watch Fox News.
