No love for Beaky Buzzard?

Heffalumps always ride single file, to hide their numbers,” said Owl.

“Oh, bother,” said Pooh.

I can’t wait to see Ewan MacGregor doing his time on Tattooine, only to be rescued by the unexpected appearance of Winnie-the-Pooh.

I SMELL A PROMOTION!

If we compare apples to oranges, then all we have is a terrible argument.

Counterpoint:

How much of my daily Vitamin R does it provide?

I firmly believe that the vast majority of law enforcement is comprised of honorable people who truly want to do the right thing, and that officers that overstep their bounds should be indicted, or at least pulled from the streets (punishment would depend on severity). Honestly, I think that the very fact that these

I don’t think I quite get your question on corrupt police, because we’ve had those forever and I don’t think shooting them is the answer. And fighting back against a tyrannical government really feels doomsday-prepper-y to me, and not something I’m overly concerned about (well, except for the past couple years).

Harsh, but fair.

While I’d prefer a world where there weren’t any guns whatsoever (insert Lionel Hutz’s vision of a world without lawyers here), I understand and can accept that they are a sad necessity to some extent. Handguns don’t bother me that much, because you shouldn’t need to be able to fire 500 rounds to stop a robbery. Safe

Yeah, the lines are often short to nonexistent, but games like the Paul Konerko and Mark Buehrle number retirements were packed and the lines were nuts.

Sure, they’ll find other weapons. But I can’t think of many weapons that allow somebody to (for example) kill 58 people and injure 851 more within the space of 10 minutes from half a mile away.

Two minutes? When’s the last time you went to an MLB game? I’ve waited in line for half an hour to get in to see the White Sox.

But if access to assault weapons is difficult-to-impossible, those same criminals will not be able to, say, shoot up a room full of 7-year-olds.

Fair enough, and it’s a legitimate question. I don’t know enough about guns to get hyper-specific, but I’d be fine with using the definition and provisions from the lapsed ‘94 ban as a starting point.

Has a rising star ever fallen this hard, this fast?

I’d rank it slightly above the “give the students rocks” idea, but far below...you know...banning assault rifles.

The lemon is in play.
