I’m conflicted. I admit that this sequel looks pretty cool, and am contemplating seeing it opening weekend... But on the other hand, if ID4: Resurgence is a success, that’s going to encourage studios to allow Emmerich go all the way through with his SG1-dissing Stargate reboot, which I absolutely don’t want him to do.

Here’s a depressing fact: There are kids in college today whose only Cameron films that have come out in their lifetimes are Titanic and Avatar. And Cameron is 61... I’m not sure how many films the man has left in him.
