I never really expected them to use the jester outfit, anyway. That they ever considered the idea comes as a pleasant surprise, and an indication perhaps, that they really do understand the character (*fingers crossed*).

Yup, I’ve said it all along: Riker started out re-living the adventures of the prototype Enterprise, quickly got bored with the dry history lesson, started writing crappy fan-fiction. Explains why The Borg and The Ferengi show up, centuries before they were supposed to.
