Who is saying they want children to be brought into a life of abuse? There are no guarantees in life. Nor do we have a time machine to see which parents are going to do a good job. Children are abused in a variety of circumstances, unfortunately.

Yes. Or face the even more immense cost of fixing the problems that could have been prevented.
The cycle doesn’t go wrong with bad parents. It starts with a lack of opportunity. Not everyone’s life progresses the same, that idea is just not realistic. The solution is not to legislate having children. It’s to make sure everyone has access to what they need to be a good parent. Education, healthcare, fair wages.
Seriously? There is nothing inherently wrong with being poor. I teach preschool in my state’s free preschool program for children who are from poor families. Sixteen children are enrolled and we rarely see absences. Most of the sixteen children have mothers that care, that are involved. Their fathers clearly want to…
Agreed. My red with white polka dots suit has been with me for 5+ years before, during, and after pregnancy. It’s just now starting to fade and need a tiny repair. Can’t say enough good things. Plus I’m a huge fan of hers, since I was a little girl. :)
I try really hard to be a good example for my 2 daughters, so they won’t be afraid of bugs and things. But once a mouse was on our window as I pulled back the curtain. Holy cow. Back to “do as I say, not as I do.”
I’m with you. Now I just have to find somewhere else to buy swimsuits. Thankfully it looks like Esther Williams has her own site.
So true though!
That’s what I thought when I saw the side by side. Also sounds exactly like something my husband would say to make me laugh. Love it!
Your comment is sarcastic but the truth behind it makes it rather serious.
I don’t trust anyone. Do we need ethical journalists as a vital part of Democracy? Yes. The journalism we need has to come with investigations, research, evidence, multiple sources, and...in my opinion, reputation. WikiLeaks “publishes secret information, news leaks, and classified media from anonymous sources”…
I agree. Although the connotation for “threesome” can vary and I didn’t immediately think about sex. Cases like this are helpful in defining relationships. We as a society will have to acknowledge that there is no “ideal” family. That makes a lot of people angry for no good reason.
Your explanation is very helpful in sorting this all out. I think it would be different if Dawn and Andrea weren’t together, which in my mind, makes the additional custody time unfair. However, I would understand if each got equal time if they weren’t together.
You mean the White House, not Waffle House right? Whew. I’m so relieved I’m not the only one who gets the two mixed up these days. :)
My liver concurs.
Also, anyone heard of this little gem about the National Confectioners Association? Conflicts smonflicts.
Again this is just my opinion and I am hoping to have an open discussion.
I understand. Not in the sense that I’ve been through it, just that I wish we weren’t here being grateful for not enough.
I’m just wondering aloud here. Sex and gender are seen as fairly simply constructs, when both are much more complex. Sex is the biological component and therefore we see it as permanent. But there’s lots of ways sexual identity can be ambiguous: extra x or y chromosomes, anatomical differences, hormonal differences....
Plus the people who check to see if someone is in there by looking through the cracks in the stall. And those who just shove open the door without checking.
