How is this Sony’s fault? I’m really not seeing the connection.

I don’t think this is actually Sony’s problem. It’s the retailers who jumped the gun. These billion dollar companies are sitting on years of purchase data for people in their region. They know how many PS3/4 Xbox360/1 they have sold over the years. They were able to make a rough calculation for how many they would

Will it actually have 825 GB of internal storage? That’s my big question. Or are we going to sacrifice X number of GB to the system, Y to something else, Z to something else. And before we know it, it’s only about 750 GB.

That’s debatable. You just make a lame, stupid, tired joke that no one but yourself cares about.

I know the US and Europe tend to handle our raw eggs differently in terms of where they go in a grocery store.

I like it and don’t mind the size. Much like I didn’t mind the size of the XSX when that was bitched about two weeks ago.

There it is. We were waiting for the mouthbreathing PC master race comment.

That’s to help keep it cool to allow airflow under the device. If that is sitting directly on a shelf, that heat isn’t really able to dissipate anywhere.

Meh, I like the design. But I also don’t care that the Xbox is a giant black box. I mean, I’ve already ditched a cable box. So all I have in my media stand is my stereo unit, which is the size of a goddamn Sherman tank.

I’ve “heard” the design is to help airflow to keep the console cooler.

Gaming for you is dead.

Hell, I’m really interested in the Harry Potter game. An open world Potterverse game I can play with my daughter? I’m very intrigued.

I don’t think it’s the console launch that’s a mess. It’s that many games that were designed to be launch titles are being pushed back due to the current situation.

No, the discless will end up being the more profitable box. It’s simple. The disc version means I can go to any retailer and buy a game in a box, and it’s a cut of the sales Sony isn’t getting.

I completely agree with you. It’s so silly in this day and age. Especially with the increase in cross-console play. No one cares if one console has ABC and the other has XYZ.

They learned that lesson with the PS3, there’s no way they’re doing that. Especially after winning the “console war” for the PS4/XB1 release.

It’s really funny reading this as a Destiny player ... a game currently undergoing it’s own bloat. But they’re going about reducing file size in a different (yet far more drastic) way.

See, I think Bungie can develop a D3 simultaneously to D2. I think their biggest problem with ROI/D2 was that they started developing D2 way before they really figured out what kind of game D1 was. They started D2 super early, and even with TTK, they still didn’t totally nail the Destiny formula. It was really the

I see no way they charge $600. They got killed with the PS3 with that pricepoint, but won the initial sales-console war when the PS4 released and dumped the price way down.

New Light was last year’s freemium expansion.
