I still think we’re getting a Destiny 3. But not for years.
I still think we’re getting a Destiny 3. But not for years.
Ulren will be the new Cosmodrome vendor based on the released images.
I love the lore of Destiny.
Consoles actually do become profitable, but it’s not until about 18-24 months after the initial launch.
I’m sorry what?
I don’t know how the revisions to the PS4 have been, but my PS4 has up and shut off to cool itself off.
Are you serious? Only 40%? That seems absurdly low. I wonder if that’s 40% of active PS4 users, or 40% of their total PS4 sales over the years (that’s what it sounds like you were saying). I could see it being more the latter, people who switched systems, stopped playing videogames altogether, or had to buy a second…
I mean, with the shutdown of Mixer, we all knew he was going somewhere, but he didn’t “officially” announce it until this morning. And as this is a gaming website, yeah, that’s pretty newsworthy.
Yeah, but YouTube has STUPID amounts of money compared to Twitch, like 40 times the valuation. Yes, I recognize they’re both owned by trillion-dollar companies, but YouTube has more resources to plunk down cash and attract talent if that’s the route they want to go.
Agree. Sure, he’s doing well, but he’s only doing well when he’s streaming. Now, maybe Twitch is giving him a base salary that allows him to work a more “normal” schedule. But his normal schedule is still going to be primetime viewing hours. So at 29 years old, he’s sacrificing normalcy ... albeit for about $6 million…
I think that’s sort of the point and how it all comes to a head.
In theory I agree with you, but I wonder if having identical systems, spec-wise, will ultimately be shooting themselves in the foot.
I think the digital version will be maybe $50 more than the S. Based on the specs, if I’m not mistaken, it’s a more powerful box.
I’m less concerned about the 60 and more concerned about how quickly the menus load and it takes to boot up the game.
I got a new 55" Vizio when we bought our house 7+ years ago. Wasn’t really in the market for something expensive, so went with a solidly middle-tier TV. Never in a million years did I think this TV would actually last me this long, and it still looks great. So it’s hard to justify a new TV. But if we move the PS4 to…
I think their disc PS5 will be the same price within about $25-30.
I’m a PS4 owner, and I’m sort of feeling the same way about the PS5. I play a lot of Destiny 2 and The Last Of Us 2, so switching to the PS5 day one is moderately attractive for that. But with everything else being pushed off, this might be a February/March purchase for me after the initial version has all the kinks…
I still don’t have a 4K TV. I will eventually, but as most of the content we watch is still 1080, there hasn’t been a big push to upgrade.
Are you talking retail or wholesale prices? Huge difference as a consumer buying one versus a billion dollar corporation signing a multi-year contract to buy millions of them.
Based on prior generations, the consoles sell (if I recall) at roughly a 15-20% loss for about the first 18 months of the cycle (PS3 doesn’t count, that one was an anomaly).
