What’s your beef with Harris (honest question, since I can’t recall reading anything shady/negative about her)?
What’s your beef with Harris (honest question, since I can’t recall reading anything shady/negative about her)?
Exactly. He hasn’t done a single good thing for this country since becoming president. Not a single good goddamn thing. Even some of our worst presidents (before him) did at least one positive thing before they left.
I’m reading ‘Fear’ by Bob Woodward, and what you wrote is somewhat true according to the book, that he has these beliefs in his head that he can’t move away from, that his advisers and Cabinet can’t shake or dissuade him from. He for example believes that trade deficits are bad, that the U.S. is getting screwed by…
Beto can beat him. If Beto can get that close to swinging Texas, he can just about do anything.
I actually think there’s plenty of rich people who think that’s what a rich person is. Many of them now work in his administration.
Yeah, that’s why all the news organizations need to take a large portion of the blame for his presidency. If they would’ve just ignored his dumb ass, we probably wouldn’t be here. He wasn’t even a “serious” contender until every news outlet began airing all his rants.
Funny what a Presidency with zero support in the House and Senate turns into. Maybe we can learn something from this.
I disagree, slightly. Yes, he’s a narcissist, but he absolutely knows he’s lying. It’s just that (a) he doesn’t care about truth, and (b) because of his narcissism, he’s convinced he’s so much smarter than the people hearing the lies that he can put one over on them, every time.
Also well written! And 100% correct. Can I get it on a tshirt?
Exactly: his reaction to the totally mundane and standard processes in Florida right now confirm everything we need to know about how he’ll handle 2020. And who knows what type of frenzy he’ll whip his cult into come election time. Ugh.
Loved that bit; this whole article was thoughtful and well-written and often funny. Great job, David.
And despite their new morals being completely tainted and terrible, they’ll continue to go to church and post Jesus memes/inspirational pictures to their social media to pretend that they still have half a shit about that stuff and the teachings.
While I look forward to 2020 with some level of hope (especially after some inspiring wins and campaigns during the midterms), I also dread it for a number of reasons. We all know it’s going to be a brutal election cycle that will probably start sometime in mid-2019 whenever the first serious contender on the left…
trump is the literal anti-christ
He couldn’t be bothered to go to Arlington Cemetery on Veterans Day. He hasn’t been to Iraq or Afghanistan (Obama went three times in his first two years). How so many in the military continue to support this fraud is beyond me.
it reminds me of the old stupid Cheech & Chong joke “I was all messed up on drugs, now I’m all messed up on the Lord.” Now the evangelicals are all messed up on Trump, but the speed with which Trump usurped their religious morals is still surreal to me. Watching “Christians” rush to aggressively defend the least godly…
“there is an expression you often see on T-shirts and bumpers stickers that goes more or less like this: “Jesus Said It. I Believe It. That Settles It.”
> He hasn’t changed a thing since graduating from punchline to president. It’s been clear for decades that Trump was both an asshole and a dummy; this is now a problem not just for the odd unlucky cocktail waitress and his staff of cheesy apparatchiks but literally every person on earth.
Well written.
TLDR: Trump is a poor person’s idea of what a rich person is, dumb person’s idea of what smart person is, a weak person’s idea of what strong person is.
Trump and a lot of the people in his thrall are, it seems safe to say, gone. They will continue walk among us—Trump will be in a golf cart—but they will never come back. They are somewhere else. There is nothing they are not prepared to believe if the right people say it; they will choose the right lie over any truth…
