An argument so obviously correct that it's self evident, doesn't need to be supported by facts. It's currently impossible to identify all effects of the splicing of a single gene, much less several. When a plant produces unknown chemicals, the effect may be anything, i.e. "both evident and latent".

Zinc isn't just a homeopathic remedy. In traditional Western medicine it is well and scientifically documented to be a vital mineral, of which deficiency can cause many severe conditions, up to and including death. Therapeutic (yet not toxic) doses have also been shown to have positive effects against some conditions.

Lawsuits against small farms because their crops have been contaminated by GMO have ruined many lives. Farmers who can't afford to buy seeds every year have had their livelihood destroyed.
