"She saw, as if arranged in neat boxes, a supple, viable sequence of time-possibilities, each one obviating all the others, strung so as to be knowable simultaneously. It was pictorial, and oddly static rather than dramatic." - Philip K. Dick, The Game Players of Titan

Can you play as Klink?

That game is good, and adapted from a show with strong themes and conflict. Unlike the entries on this list, which are baffling.

Just a heads up. DO NOT play the Antiques Roadshow board game.

Pretty much just Battlestar Galactica. It's great, even compared to other, non-adaptation games, and manages to be a faithful adaptation of the mood and tension of the show. Which is pretty surprising (baffling?) in its own right.

I am optimistic. It is an interesting design choice to not adapt the turn-based mechanics, but appears to capture the excitement and looming danger from the source material. Like those moments where one lucky shot saves you from utter failure.

Yeah, ULTRADUH to whoever thought "Let's use the name and specific theme of a popular game" without giving it any credit.

There's one point in the game where progress requires finding a hidden block to destroy and move through, in a direction that is not intuitive for where the map objective appears to tell you to go. I wasted like an hour trying to find it.

I don't know if shame is the right word for it, but I definitely feel a bit silly going out of my way to idle in the McDonald's parking lot, just to pick up some Streetpass tags from the Nintendo Zone.

Hm, that sucks. My household has 2 DS's, 2 DSi XLs, and a 3DSXL. They're just kind of accumulating. I was hoping I wouldn't feel the need for another… Probably won't make the switch unless the next Layton games require it. Transferring data is a must, I wouldn't want to reset my progress in Monster Manor

I've heard guys in the industry explain that the standard is to have 3-4 "best decks" viable at the same time, and then let the meta shift change up what they are. I guess players are confused when there are too many good ideas to choose from?

Dude, switch to Marvel Puzzle Quest. At least there, the grind is fuel for a fun match-3 puzzle game. As a bonus, the long term collection is compelling.

I was going to ask the same thing. Seems like a problematic turn for the character.

MEMO TO DISNEY: Replica Mos Eisley Cantina or GTFO

my four-year old's minecraft stream is off the hook

Aye, Captain Marvel!

I always left my love interest behind on the planet to die. Tragic story. But since ME2 didn't count it as having romanced them, you didn't even get their photo on your dresser in later games, which was kind of lame.

In the world of board games, Fantasy Flight's Star Wars LCG tries pretty hard to fit the theme, but there's still something weird about Chewbacca leaning out the window to blow up a star destroyer, or worse, a lone rebel snowspeeder destroying the Heart of the Empire to win the game. The mechanics would be much more

I chased her for years. Now I'm not sure I even want to catch her…

While at the gym I watched part of Some movie with Rachel McAdams and Harrison Ford with subtitles on. I have no idea what it was… He was a crotchety newscaster and she was a plucky production assistant or executive producer. I'm sure by the end they would have learned to understand each other. Or maybe Harrison dies,
