Keep up with that iron wit, buddy.

Then we'll just have to wait to see if the showrunners actually do something with it.

And that'd be all fine and good in reality. As much as I would hate it, as long as they actually made the rape have an impact instead of brushing it "another thing that happened", I don't care how much of an asshole they make Jaime.

And again, it seems to me you're just really stuck in the mindset of, "If you're complaining about one thing, then you must mention that are things worse then this thing."…which doesn't make any sense. One again, that be like complaining about the rampant muggings in a city, and then some asshole chimes in with, "Oh,

What, did you miss the part where I explicitly mention that both acts are incredibly heinous? The whole point of my previous statement shouldn't is that "Crime Olympics" logic shouldn't be applied to anything. Whenever someone mentions rape, there really shouldn't be someone waiting to chime in on how "not bad it is

And I'm aware that the truth of the matter is; both of those evils are unique sorts of evil and that comparing the two would be like comparing a pumpkin to a pineapple.

Perhaps. But then again, I've always found it odd that whenever anyone (not just this article, it can really be applied to any article that mentions rape) brings this up, there's always someone who has to chime in with, "Oh yeah, well this thing, and this thing happened, and nobody said anything about that!"

Yes, because if anyone talks about rape on the internet, it is essential that you remind everyone that it's not as bad as murder or slavery. Because that just make's perfect sense.

And you end with a "White Knight" ad hominem.
Good to know you're original…

"sonia your retarted. " I'm sorry, but I lost it after that first sentence….

Yes, expect you're forgetting one crucial detail…this is an entertainment site. To expect the discussion the shift so drastically to real world tragedies would be just as ludicrous as a news site suddenly posting articles about how terrible the new TMNT trailer was.

You never know. It's not that uncommon for a television show to stray from the source material (lookin' at you, Walking Dead).

She meant the resulting rape shouldn't "only" affect Jaime, or serve to further just his character.

Except that rape did serve a purpose within the story. It served to further the plot, and you actually do see the impact it had on Gendry.

Dude, that's not what she meant at all, and you know it.

Yes, because a comment that basically amounts to, "My friend tried to get me into a thing; she claimed I might like it because of X character, but upon further research, I found out it wasn't for me", is completely unreasonable…

Oops, you are completely right about that. Obvious typo on my part, but thanks for actually pointing that out.

Tormund Giantsbane = Slaughters an entire village in last nights episode alone.
Ned Stark = Cheats on his wife, and even has a bastard child.
Mance Rayder = Yeah, that guy leads the wildlings and we all know what they do.

I realize that. And perhaps I didn't articulate it well enough in my first comment. For that, I do apologize. Let me make amends.

Ah, the old "Nerd Credentials" rebuttal. Like we haven't heard that one before…
