I'm sure that the diesel vanagon was even slower. They have a rep for being so slow that they're actually dangerous to drive on the freeway.

It was a Westphalia Eurovan, and it was definitely over 30 seconds. Maybe not 37,but maybe 34 or something. This was in the mid 90's.
Let me know the next time you're in Detroit, and it's a date. :-P
Also, if I remember correctly, the Eurovan was the absolute slowest vehicle that Car and Driver ever tested. 37(?) seconds from 0-60.
Thanks! I suppose I should work on being braver with my fashion choices. Sooner or later I assume someone may appreciate it. :-P
I really don't think anyone will think that I'm prettier than them. :-P
I enjoy wearing a kilt, but I think enough people see me as a weirdo when I do that I really pick and choose the occasions when I do. I made the mistake of wearing one on a first date once without really knowing my audience so to speak. There was no second date.

I love dressing well, but I feel like I'm looked upon as a bit of a weirdo, so I'll default to a buttoned work shirt and nice jeans, unless my date seems like she may…
I've never been asked for my opinion of a date's outfit on the first date, though I've been guilty of overdressing in the past. I do really enjoy the sight of women in skirts and dresses, or just traditionally "feminine" clothing in general. It's exceedingly rare that I've been lucky enough to date someone who wears…
Well, yeah. I'm assuming that the Navy is going to be pretty particular about using the handbrake when parking a vehicle on the pitching deck of an aircraft carrier. My assumption was that the boots are being used as wheel chocks. Total guesswork, of course.
Maybe they're vehicles with manual transmissions and lackluster parking brakes?
I traded my ailing '95 F150 4X4 for an '83 VW Rabbit Pickup (Caddy). I drive 35 miles each way to work every day, and the 15-17 mpg I was getting from the Ford was killing me. Plus, it was starting to fall apart. The VW is weird and rare, which is a plus for me, and it's really easy to work on. Also, there are lots of…
