Matt, I very close criticizing you for eviscerating poor Beckerman, since the job of a 'Guy Code' blog writer for MTV doesn't sound like that of someone who considers themselves a hard-hitting journalist. It sounds like more of an internet entertainment fluff writer position. First, though... I thought I would check

I think NASCAR did the right thing.

Anything with more than 8 cylinders of milkshake will bring all the boys to the yard. Guys who don't even know how to check their own oil will want to take a look under the hood...

2nd Gear: Makes sense to me, I believe the UAW has shifted in recent years towards sensibility and survival over the sometimes unrealistic and outdated demands of its members, no offense union peeps.
3rd Gear: Already read this morning that Yuasa and Boeing are at odds on the battery fix, with Yuasa wanting a more

There are seemingly overlapping trademark rights between Rolls-Royce the automobile maker (BMW parent group) and Rolls-Royce plc, the aeronautic firm.  There is conflicting information on the internets whether BMW just has licensing or owns some of the trademarks.  If you Google "Rolls Royce trademark infringement"

Yes, I had hoped the article was going to go into detail about that, also!

FYI, it appears something has changed in The Matrix, and commenting is not working inside posts right now... but it is working from the main page (if this shows up)

Well, Musk had better brace himself, because Edmunds.com just had the screen go out on their test vehicle.  I realize they don't have a fraction of the readership of the NYT, for what that is worth.  I just hope it doesn't turn out that Edmunds.com is faking this; maybe the data will show that they poured a Venti

True, but the origins of the word reata have to with ropes used as lassos.  Same with the word lariat, a synonym of reata.

I don't believe that front end is going to help them sell, and I'd guess they will have to give it a minor facelift after a year or two.  In my opinion, the grille should be one solid piece of chrome (or body color if the customer chooses) across the front; the seven individual chrome pieces look ridiculous.

The Buick Reatta, because the closest possible definition I could find was this:

Larger headlights down below, stolen off the highly praised Nissan Juke. Oh wait... isn't the Juke is reviled for that reason? EDIT: I should have started reading the article before commenting, as the Juke comparison was noted right off the bat.

...also, isn't that Chevy bowtie on backwards (a mirror of what it should be)?

I would like to have seen a more economically priced model without the battery pack and electric motor, but I suppose if you are springing for the cost of a carbon fiber body, It's gonna be hella expensive either way.

The thing this has me wondering, honestly, who moves $50 million - $466 million on a single plane?  Just the remote chance of theft or plane crash would seem to make it a better option to split up into multiple trips...at least, right now it does.

The Tata Nano will be sold in the USA...

Russians are hardcore

Like you are saying, Musk is technically correct. I think he was playing word games in this particular statement, which is a bad idea when everyone is looking over it with a fine tooth comb, and he seems to have some solid ground to stand on already.  I seem to remember (as reported on Jalopnik) that a Tesla Roadster
