Below are links to two photos of my stepdad's Corvair, which he bought last fall. The car is wholly original and beautifully plain, and has (supposedly) never seen a Michigan winter, despite spending it's entire life in the state. This spring I plan to do some more picture taking...

Figures that dailylama would have caught that...

The superstitious lesson to be learned in all of this: don't give your innovative yet very unproven vehicle a product name associated with 'luck' in any way

...and it has a 1800 cc displacement I-6 TWO STROKE in the front, delivering pounds of blue smoke with each stomp of the pedal. (imagine 3 Trabant engines epoxied together into one big Communist block). It delivers around 75 hp, who knows how much of that reaches the rear driving wheel.

I realize only now that I failed to fictionalize the make. Lets pretend I went with 'Leipzig Motorwerke', instead of VW. This looks Eastern Bloc anyhow... think of it as a rich man's Trabant.

Why, it's the 1975 VW Jedermann! Built from the same air cooled drivetrain as the Beetle, the Jedermann was designed for buyers who wanted an exterior with more conservative lines than the Beetle offered. (the name Jedermann translates literally to "everyman", and has it's own place in German culture/history)

Armed guards on every bus, STAT.

Don't forget the upcoming über-vanilla redesigns of the full size pickups. A major part of their revenue source, I find the 2014 updates to be a definitive step backwards. I know this is about 2012, but it was a couple weeks ago that the 'new look' was released.

Thirded...and can someone tell Nissan that a larger emblem doesn't equal a better product? If they don't reverse course, their badges will soon encroach into the space the headlights occupy

They should not be voting on a GD thing right now. The floor time should entirely be filled with debate about the 'fiscal cliff'. If they don't act soon, the government will have $1 trillion in new revenues (oh no!), and $1 trillion in Defense cuts; we need to maintain our 3:1 spending over our nearest Defense

CP on the $$, but it sure is nice otherwise.

I saw a Plymouth Breeze last week with a very tired iridescent paint job...just bizarre. I suppose the same people who think it looks good also think it is worth applying to a Plymouth Breeze.

John Lennon's psychedelic Rolls Royce (Yoko must have had a hand in this atrocity).

I would need to drink 4.9 liters of alcohol to pay that price, crack pipe.

Peter Jackson is brilliant. He is going to get a sizable chunk of film buffs and LOTR fans to see his movie more than once (when they might not have forked out the cash otherwise). Also, I thought they were going to show the HFR option in 2D? A cursory Google search is making it evident that did not happen, which is

I was just thinking about the news organizations and large corporations that (for whatever reason) have Instagram accounts. How will they handle this going forward? Will they get a 'special' agreement with Instagram to retain the ownership rights?

See how much better it looks with rounded wheelwells?? That ride looks nice.

That reminds me of another square and fugly GM product...

Poor Silverado...why are you so long in the face?

Durability testing for Nissan. In fairness, maybe things have been debugged on the production end... but at the end of prototype testing, it still had numerous small body/chassis issues that weren't consistent with the rest of their product (none safety related).
