Because RuPaul is has misogynistic streak, in that Gen X, gay dude way. Like, the show is fun, and in general, he’s done a lot more good than bad for the world, but it’s definitely there.

Gilda Radner actually did have a hysterectomy, chemo, and radiation treatments during the course of her illness.  But your general point stands.

It’s interesting that she doesn’t even address Gary’s abuse. She focuses on picking apart the minutiae instead of listening to her children. She’s in such denial, she’ll never admit the truth.

In effect she is calling her son and daughter a liar. I can see why her kids are/were fucked up about it.

As an *actual* cancer survivor, I am disgusted by this woman. She preyed on the desperate, the sick, and the dying. Because of her, people likely forewent actual evidence-based medicine in favor of her dietary “cure.”
