and, better yet, sometimes you CAN’T get an abortion that early because the tissue is so small it’s difficult to confirm.

i had a friend that wanted to terminate a pregnancy, but planned parenthood said she needed to wait until she was at LEAST 6 weeks along so they could see it clearly on ultrasound.

My almost 8month pregnant ass stupidly weighed in on a man’s pro-life discussion on Twitter this morning, they thought it was barbaric to get an abortion post 20 weeks. Totally ignoring that only around 1.2% of abortions happen that late. As more and more forced birthers kept piling on they all kept wanting to know

Certainly far from all. And still fewer would have time to know AND make a decision to end the pregnancy AND find and attend a suitable provider to fulfill her choice to terminate.

At five weeks of gestation? How many women even realise they are pregnant at that limit?

A heartbeat does not determine when life begins. It’s just some sentimental nonsense the anti-choice crowd made up.

Meanwhile, that general who handed over military secrets to his girlfriend journalist got the gentlest of slaps on the wrist possible.

You realize that Obama has commuted the sentences of a whole bunch of minor drug offenders, many of them people of color, right? This is far from a one-off for him.

That middle ground is where I’ve chosen to park myself and, I’m assuming, where Obama also lies.

Personally I think there’s a middle ground between thinking she belongs in jail for 35 years and thinking she shouldn’t have been found guilty. I disagree with her methods and don’t think she acted out of pure good intention but I do think 35 years is excessive especially considering the conditions in which she was

My feelings are reversed: Manning was a soldier who saw wrong and became a whistleblower at a job she already had. Snowden deliberately took a job with the intention of stealing and leaking classified material, then fled to a country which has subsequently interfered in our election. I know which one I think is guilty

She’s been in jail for six years.

I salute your effort, but to most people, incarceration is a means of doling out revenge, not justice. People want to see the condemned suffer. There is little to no mercy for the convicted in this country. They cease to be human in the eyes of most.

Let me guess, the bought woman played Joni Potter on the hit show, Dobson’s Stream and all of this is being investigated by Queen of King’s very own Lee Criminey.

Considering that we’re about to get a new president who is going to be committing treason on day 1 of his presidency, and the majority of a Congress that is selling this country down the river, yes, Manning’s sentence was excessive.

The UN had ruled that she was being tortured. Her sentence was fucking excessive and it was slowly killing her. The fact you say it was not means you have not read any of the details or you do not care.

Her sentence was the longest sentence for any leaker, ever. Yes, the leak was huge, but as the NY Times points out, none of the material was classified as Top Secret.

Let’s meditate, pray, whatever your spiritual practice over these 5 months. Don’t forget her jailers HATE her and have done almost anything to get her to give up on life. The time after commutation can be very delicate and dangerous for imprisoned people. Hang in there, Chelsea!

I applaud the Obama administration for this move. She has suffered enough, that’s become extremely apparent. I doubt she would have survived another year or two, let alone the remaining thirty years of her sentence.

It’s not clear if Assange will stick to that pledge.

A very sincere Thanks, Obama. She would not have survived the Trump administration.
