I've got a dedicated machine for Windows 7. And the funny thing is, it's an old (2005) Pentium 4 Dell. And Windows 7 runs perfectly! Great improvement over Vista IMO. Microsoft gets too much hate for Windows, but with 7, they're hitting the ball out of the park.

I'm not sure how long this has worked for, but if you search for something right now and append the operator color:[color], you'll get the same results as if you used this URL hack.

This post reminded me to check my Grandcentral page for info on upgrading. Sure enough, I was informed that I could upgrade at that time. I did the upgrade, and I am really impressed with the new iteration of the service. The interface is clean, the contact integration is solid, and the features are great.

Also, we must consider that this is the first truly wired Inauguration. Four years ago, the streaming technology we had available was nowhere near what we have now. Lifehacker is just doing its part to help citizens watch and participate in the most revolutionary, technologically-advanced Inauguration in history.

*Insert frowny face here* Turns out that the InaugurationReport iApp does not work on the iPod touch, as it requires GPS (as does another Inauguration app, interestingly enough). I searched the directory and there does not appear to be another free Inauguration Day app. Why couldn't they have made this app

Excellent resource. Tuesday will be a great day. I feel the same as jeffk; the entire world will stop for a few hours on Tuesday to bear witness to history. I am just proud to be alive to see this day.

Excellent roundup. I've been looking for a good way to remotely schedule recordings in Windows Media Center, and I think I'll redouble my efforts now. It's too bad those shareware apps are so expensive, otherwise I might plunk down for them.

How about favorite Lifehacker post category?

I was originally an XBMC fan. Now, having seen what worked and what didn't work in XBMC, I am hoping for a good web interface in the Windows version of Boxee. XBMC's web interface left a lot to be desired.

For me, it was a tough choice between iPhone 2.0 and Firefox 3. I love them both for different reasons, but in the end, the apps on the iPhone beat out the speed of FF3.

I've been using YouMail for ages. I love it. More people need to know that services like this (and this one in particular) exist.

Anybody notice that Win7 takes SEVEN SECONDS less than WinVista Ultimate to get to the login screen?

Now I REALLY want a Windows version of this.

FINALLY! I can't wait.

Hopefully they can focus on developing a better Windows while their Live team develops these crucial apps for later integration.

I would have picked a different name, but overall it looks like a great product.

So not only does this appear to be a failed attempt (albeit a heart-in-the-right-place one), but Apple hasn't (a) pulled it down or (b) copied it? I'm surprised.

A superb program that I've been using for quite some time now, but always good to see some LH love for great apps.
