This site has, in the past, had many a discussion over what is luxury or premium.
“So far, we’ve only seen premium brands, but that changes with Subaru”
Does this mean the site has a line drawn somewhere on what is luxury/premium? I would take some top trim model Subies over an A-Class Merc., ad infinitum, et cetera.

Or,

Out of the grays for you (at least here), because this is a story I NEED to hear.

Exactly! And a used GTI is FAR from bulletproof.

There’s a word for gluing back together an Italian car.  That word is “Upgrade”.

Ugh. This is a spectacularly shitty take.

Doug DeMuro scheduling vacation routes based on distance to a Land Rover dealership is still one of the funniest series of articles I’ve ever read.

In the Cadillac Lyriq you have to press two buttons to open the glovebox”

That was my first reaction, but should also be anything you WANT to control, because bad drivers can’t help themselves and will take out innocent people while making bad decisions in their car.

Easy. I have a solid tie between these two.

Basically anything you may need to control while the car is in motion to safely operate the vehicle at a bare minimum like wipers and turn signals. Teslas already fail this very low bar.

Air and Heat controls do not need to be in the screen

Climate control
Headlights
Wipers
Audio entertainment settings for the basics like volume, skip/next, mute.

Anything I actually need to access while driving.

All of them. Hope that helps.

Selling ‘cause it needs tires and he got sticker shock....

Personally, I would never buy this at any price. This isn’t a car worth revisiting imo. Though I could possibly see it’s value as a background car for movies.

17 year old but still ND.

It’s a 27 year old Subaru.  $5K

Joking aside, looking closely at that and it almost looks like the jack point on the car itself failed.

Obligatory boomer malaise era survivor vote of CP, ND, FN, what are you thinking, just no.
