S2000 has a longitudinal mounted 6-speed with the linkage directly attached to the trans. Accord is a FWD platform with a transaxle. Not the same thing.

Yeah, it was a very special car when it was new, and prices have reflected that since it’s been out of production. But it seems silly to buy this rather than a lightly used Miata/GR86 (once Miata supply catches up anyway, it’s been silly out there the last couple years).

ND from me. Prices have gotten WAY out of hand on these things.

I test drove one of these once it was an AP1. I had huge expectations because from everything I read it was exactly the kind of car I like, small, light, agile and quick. I have to say I was a little disappointed, but I don’t think it was a bad sports car at all, it was just like going to a movie after everybody and

5.4 seconds as per Car and Driver amongst several other sources.

Greatest generation truck platform, the rarity of a 5 speed manual, the availability of parts for dirt cheap to keep this thing running indefinitely, it really doesnt matter if theres anything wrong with it, this is a good buy. Hop on ebay, craigslist, FB marketplace and see for yourselves what these cost in good

I’m gonna be straight up: This thing, to me, looks good. Not “good for a Pinto,” just good. I love the shooting brake style, I think the lines of this model work quite well as a wagon, and the woodie panels are icing on the cake. Interior looks nicely sorted, too.

That is the weirdest grouping of made up quotes with a weird derived conclusion.

Well Don, I’m not entirely sure where you’re coming from.

You must be young. We were all paying >10% in the 1980s even with great credit.

Jeep Cherokee production winding down is hardly a surprise at this point: Stellantis had announced it would be idling Belvidire in December of last year. Sales of the Jeep Cherokee have been declining steadily for months, which is in stark contrast to other small-to-midsize SUVs from Jeep’s rivals, including the

Nope.

Which makes it worth *more* on the open market, actually. Point is, this car ain’t worth what they’re asking.

It is an 18 year old car.

If I am buying an Orphan car I want a discount ND

In the world of VWs, they’ll probably get their price. It’s rare, yet parts are readily available. Would I buy it? No. But someone will.

Same here. A quick blast of Easy Start and it fires right up. I have never had an issue with gas breaking down, even in my old plow truck (gas) which sits for almost a year. It also fires right up. This whole gasoline degradation thing has always seemed to be overblown to me.

Yeah, I see more of the value here is “functional 2-door for $4,500"

Good lord, no. It looks good from behind. So do I - but my mileage and baggage are far too extensive for me to recommend a hookup.

$3500 is a deal, drive it until it breaks down then sell it for scrap. Hopefully it'll last at least a year
