Looks diesel. What kinda vehicle are they tooling around in with a tach that only goes to 6000?

I’d say “sometimes”. Price tag isn’t always better. The Sumitomo HTR A/S P02s I had on my E90 were leaps and bounds better than the Pirelli Cinturato P7's that are on my F30. Going to change them out before winter. Cause these Pirellis blow chunks, despite being 3 to 4 times the price.
Why would you be? You won’t own it long enough to worry about post-warranty repairs or work.
Have you driven the Alfa Romeo yet? lol
Amen to that. lol
Wow, I bet you’re a real pleasure to be in a relationship with. #eyeroll #sarcasm
Definitely a Chrysler LeBaron convertible that my grandmother owned. I think it might have been an ‘89.
Floridaman Strikes Again!
I think most cars are actually front-mid engine. I can’t think of many cars outside of Audi who make front engine cars (engine ahead of the front axle, since rear engine cars are behind the rear axle).
Yup, miss mine every day. Was probably the best car that I ever owned. Drove it to 257,000 miles. Minimal maintenance. Just power, comfort, and reliability.
Oh, sorry “loan guarantees given by the US Government because they were on the verge of bankruptcy”. Yeah, that would be a bail out. And they used it to stay afloat. Chrysler sucks. But thanks for commenting.
Just get a Mercedes or certain shitbox Buicks from the 90's and 00's. Hell, maybe even today. The triangle just moves to the top of the windshield instead of the bottom. lol
You need to go back further. They were bailed out in the late 70's, early 80's as well. Before Iaccoca and the K-car. No, Chrysler has never been a profitable venture making great cars. Profitable yes, great cars, not since sometime around 1971.
Absolutely none. They milked the K-platform until it was dead, and then fell back to bankruptcy/bailout mode again.
With a screenname like that, I will concede all knowledge of the K-car to you, sir. :-)
And they had to get a government bailout to start that in 1978. Which was basically Chrysler selling cheaply built, low quality shitboxes to whoever wanted to buy one. I wouldn’t use the K-Car as a shining light of Chrysler’s achievements in the last 40 years.
And even Chrysler as a corporation was founded by a bunch of struggling companies coming together. And it doesn’t seem like they’ve ever stopped struggling since 1926.
Their history is like a soap opera. They never really recovered after the 60's. The merger list from 1970 forward is extensive. The bailout list from the government is worse. They’ve been getting bailed out since the 80's.
Neutral: No one in the last 40 years has been able to make Chrysler a profit engine for more than a couple years. Maybe even longer than that. I’m beginning to think it’s just a thing that foreign automakers use as an in for the US market, and to get tax breaks when they move more production here. lol
