PB&Apple Butter
1) Whole wheat bread, real butter, peanut butter (no chunks, no added sugar), apple butter.
Toasted PB&Salami
2) Whole wheat bread, the darker and grainier the better, toasted to taste, let to cool so the butter doesn’t melt, real butter, peanut butter (chunky, no added sugar), salami.
Both pair well with…
I’m betting on an “we’re out of smooth so I’ll use the chunky and they’ll still be happy because peanut butter” miscalculation leading to a nuclear meltdown. Possibly with company in the house, or when already running late, or when Mom is under the weather, or all of the above.
I once went to a “fermentation bar” that served an open faced peanut butter and kimchi sandwich. Similar idea, and it was plenty tasty. I could see pickles cutting the sweetness of the peanut butter.
Oh man, the dice in the pic at the top aren’t “real” dice; 5 and 2 are never adjacent, nor are 3 and 4! :)
What the hell is the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich?
That’s some serious shade.
Bringing it back on the day of the week Chik-Fil-A is closed, no less.
Hey, big fan of your beer writing. Just one comment (which happens to be a pet peeve of mine): I think you’re referring to 5% ABV, not ABW (although, it’s in the context of a quote, so there’s a good chance I’m wrong...)
Sort of correct:
Shrimp wiggle, it’s a fine Klingon dish. I’m thinking cocktail sauce rather than ketchup would punch up the flavor a bit though.
Under that logic every American food pairs best with Bud Light.
We don’t just admit it, we shout it from the rooftops.
Hey everyone! Real quick before we get too many comments here, which I love and absolutely encourage: please be mindful that this recipe is a beloved part of another culture, and mocking an entire culture for something you haven’t actually tried is a dick move. I mocked the notion of ketchup on spaghetti for years,…
I know, I know, I kept trying not to think about that when I was writing my defense of warm pie and I was unsuccessful.
YES (although light sauce, double onions scares me, I’d go light onions, extra pickles).
If you process it into avocado toast, that thing has a street value of roughly $40,000.
These are the same schmucks who think drinking piss-water beer is manly.
spreading the word that Impossible burgers are “processed” food.
