Or you could follow the manufacturer’s specified OCI and send out oil samples to a lab at every other change; way cheaper insurance and actual feedback on the condition of your engine internals.
Meanwhile, they’re shutting down coal power plants left and right and not replacing that base load capacity.
Don’t be a dick! But yeah...
I’m not sure about the older vehicles, but I can say from experience that my ‘12 F150 has a tarpit algorithm of sorts. I’ve given the code to someone once to charge their phone in my truck, they fat-fingered the code too many times and locked the keypad out for over 30 minutes, it would just blink and not accept…
Not true, the master code is permanently burned in but you can add codes as well, I’ve done this on my ‘12 Raptor.
Oh, my girlfriend also has an ‘11 Chevy Cruze Eco with the 1.4 turbo. Its running the Trifecta tune; besides a vacuum leak and an external coolant leak it has had 83,000 trouble-free miles on it so far.
My mom had an ‘02 Audi A4 with the 1.8T, it had 138,000 relatively trouble-free miles on it when they traded it in. My dad had an ‘00 Saab 9-3 Viggen that had several ignition issues, amongst other things over the ~80,000 miles that they had it, but none of them were turbo or internal engine related issues though. I…
My Jetta TDI with the tune it left the factory with only did 0-60 in 10 actually. I’m not debating the cool factor of this car, just saying that it’s impractical for me given the price and the range/recharging limitations it currently has.
Just because you don’t regularly take road trips doesn’t mean that’s the driving habit of the average person. I’m not debating the cool factor of this car either, I’m just saying that given the price, it’s not really practical as a daily driver for me. Sorry to get your panties all in a bunch.
I just throw a lid on my pan whenever I cook eggs over easy, low heat and they turn out perfect like that.
Like almost every turbo diesel car ever made.
I guess if you’re ok with paying 80 grand for a car that can barely leave the state on a road trip; that's not really practical for most folks.
500mi might seem a bit outrageous, but you can fill your 250mi car up and immediately set back out on the road without waiting hours to charge it.
My Jetta TDI easily goes 650 miles on a tank, there are plenty of vehicles that go >500mi on a tank.
This is certainly badass, but I’ll be more interested when they offer a practical daily driver for under 50 grand that can go 500 miles on a charge with the heat and all other accessories on blast, you know, like other cars.
I know, even if it's relatively light, still a big ass bike to be tossing around like that!
I love the hard tacos at Chipotle, but they used to give you 4, now it’s only 3. Considering how much less toppings fit into 3 hard tacos, it’s really a ripoff. I’d rather sub a salad for the rice and sour cream in a bowl and load on that delicious unhealthy dressing.
Yeah, I knew of three Intrepids with the 2.7 that didn’t make it far past 100,000 without serious engine problems, consider yourself lucky.
What if he had been driving a huge truck, or flying an aircraft, or a Prius full of explosives!!??
