I'd never ever buy a minivan, but I rent the hell outta them on vacations.

I totally get that for constant meshing parts; but some of the oil in hydraulic parts that bleed down like lifters may not work as well in extreme cold, no? Wouldn't it stress various seals and bypass the oil filter as well? Transmissions, both auto and manual seem to hate extreme cold, but they don't have constant

It sounds like the lube between the clutch pressure plate throwout bearing and the driveshaft slowing things down.

All LCD's are inherently sluggish and glitchy in extreme cold, they do after all contain liquid with polarizing particles.

My '04 Jetta TDI's leather seats take quite a bit of time to heat up, at least 10min.

And, as far as the pollution and fuel waste goes, let's think about this on a larger, systems-level. Sure, if you idle for, say, three minutes, you're burning more fuel and polluting more. But if that three minutes heats up your oil and transmission fluid and prevents wear to your drivetrain, maybe your car will last,

Nav apps read your contacts for addresses of potential destinations. If you read their FAQ, most dev's will outline what they're using each of the permissions for. You don't think someone would call them out if they were found doing something shady on a rooted device?

Waze is free and it works fine without data coverage as long as the destination was predetermined with coverage. There are also pay apps that save the entire continent on your phone. In-car systems are obsolete a few years later.

On the 1st Gen SYNC in my Raptor there's a button sequence you can use to invoke Bt Audio: [Menu] [>] [>] [Ok]. It's basically like the [Up] [Up] [Down] [Down] [Left] [Right]... of my adult life. I'd seriously love to smack the fuck out of the engineers that broke Bt audio in the last firmware update.

A Windows modifier key on an Android peripheral, how quaint!

Just out of curiosity, what's the price difference between the H model and the regular ones these days? Last time I looked years ago, the break even point for the hybrid option was something insane like 200,000mi, even with gas at ~$3.50/gal.

I don't know if you've been around a college campus lately, but that look has come full-circle, just throw in a fedora.

For the love of God, don't buy the weezy 2.slow, at least step up to the 2.5.

Please do explain how they should go about making a more "cutting-edge" suspension design for the intended purposes of a Wrangler.

Google rednecks with Paychecks raptor. The TL;DR is that they knew it would do some damage and apparently didn't care, but they also probably didn't expect it to fly that high or F the passenger's back up. There's an aftermath vid of them backing the truck off of a trailer.

Thats probably water from the track, impossible to tell either way from the video. I doubt that truck still has the flimsy factory gas tank, probably an aluminum fuel cell.

Mechanically, well, to begin with these things were still boats by present day standards. Factory cars tipped the scales at over 3,900-pounds and engine options in '79 were limited to a 133-bhp 302, a 142-horse 351W, or a 151-pony 351M. Which one does this car have? Hell if I know, but these conversions were typically

Damn, that's a shame! Where'd their patents and IP go, anywhere productive? Hopefully...

This country has a serious problem in not treating and supervising the mentally ill appropriately, its all over the news. They are seriously lucky that she didn't have a weapon other than her vehicle, it could've been way worse.

Truck is like: OMNOMNOMNOM...
