To be fair-what doesn't suit Jane Krakowski?

"Next time, get you a husband who's simply having an emotional affair with his sister. They can't get married!"

Re Jacqueline: it seems Lillian and Jacqueline have switched positions in terms of usefulness to the plot. For a show with only FOUR core cast members, it can really struggle with properly utilizing its two supporting female cast members.

I was watching some earlier episodes today and it really is a revelation how suddenly and quickly they managed to make Lillian click. I adore Carol Kane because I am a human being with eyes and ears, so it was always frustrating seeing her so underutilized and one-note, but Kane is just knocking it out of the park

Beaches 2: Mustard of Doom is Still Dead

Isabellica Delmonico is a great drag name, and that character description is a great jumping-off point

Yeah the ghosting part was off but there was still some good material there.

Dominoes is the only pizza I ge but damn if that line still wasn't a highlight for me

Agreed, Kimmy's line about them all being babies rang especially true for me.

This is generally my take on her material. I didn't really leave this episode feeling like it didn't hit the nail on the head simply because I didn't feel like there was a nail they were trying to hit in the first place. They were just making satire that worked about 70% of the time.

It's not an intelligent joke by any means, but D'Fwan jokes will never cease to make me laugh.

The real question is-which line delivery did you read that in?

Completely agree, I've rewatched the episode three times now just because of all of the Titus scenes. There was so much good material in there that Kayla seemed to skip over just to justify an unnecessarily low grade.

I'll be honest, I was really shocked at the low grade at first because I remember laughing the most at this one so far, but then I realized that the only really memorable parts didn't involve Kimmy (though she had a couple of good one-liners, like the masculine noun bit, and the ghosting scene). I just had so much fun

I'd love it if Gretchen actually became a character on Orange is the New Black. That would be some synergistic cross-promotion that I'd totally be in support of.

Kimmy would drop kick Piper in an instant, and I'd love to see it

The story mechanics of the sick Titus storyline are a little strange, sure, but I just loved seeing him getting pushed around in a shopping cart like he was on death's door.

On the flip side, I feel like some of my favorite episodes are the ones that put the supporting characters together without Kimmy. The next episode is a great example of that.

Considering the OITNB crossover in the next episode, anything is one the table, really.

Jeff Richmond really is the unsung hero of his wife's shows. All of his musical stylings work so well with the world of her shows, and every single one of Titus's songs this episode were gems. It's such a simple joke, but having Boobs in California be the song that Titus was afraid to sing had me in stitches.
