No, working at McDonald’s or driving for Uber is not putting in the work. Nor is it hustling. Both of those things are intended to be temporary sources of absolute minimum income while you do put in the work elsewhere.

The path you took, the choices you made, the opportunities that you had - nothing about your story makes an iota of difference to what he’s going through.
