What do you get when you leave a bunch of engineers and developers to their own devices in a room full of toys? Business value. That's what!

@The Squalor Also Rises: There would be riots in the streets! And I'd laugh my head off. Then I'd be excited— I've wanted WP7 since before it was a whisper in the rumor mill...
@Good_Ole_Pinocchio: It's more evidence that it really is the iPhone annoucement!
@hurbieta: OW! His vocal cord!
@Make.Sense: Why not? It will have underpinnings in Windows 7. It would be quite simple to demo a few new UI features and leave other nuts-and-bolts features as talking points.
@ZGangsta: WHAT!?! You can too do real work on something made by Appl—
@blyan is not on fire: OMG Giz commenters. I can't believe how vocal you are. It's your job as commenters on an opinion based technology website's comments to not comment on the articles you read. Don't you all know this? As a fellow commenter I'm at least 400% sure that I am not in any way being hypocritical here.
@madbassman39: How can make windows mobile 7 tablet? He doesn't exist!
@abates25: So far Microsoft has said no WP7 tablets.
@Eran: Props for using "ergo" after the author uses, "All that suck is going to be pricey...".
I'll be getting one.
@spinnaker0: I've got a 2.8Hhz dual core with 8GB of ram. If it were truly a hardware issue, WMC's native menus would also be slow because the images present significantly more data to move than the metadata. It seems to me more likely an issue with Media Browser intelligently caching and selectively updating than…
@spinnaker0: Yeah, I even tried the SQLite setup on the last release and didn't notice much of an uptick in performance. My library is rather small. Couple dozen movies and a half dozen seasons of tv shows. Perhaps I'll try again after the next release.
@TheCaptain: I dumped Media Browser because than thing performed like a heaping pile of poo. Does it work okay for you?
Define failure ahead of time:
@ihityouinthenose: I put my kids to bed every night between 8 and 8:30pm. I found that if I go straight to my room and put on my workout clothes after putting them to bed, I may still do other things for a half hour, but then I get to the workout I intended to do.
@ericesque: Thanks, Whitson!
VOTE: Windows Media Center
@edEx: I've also received those spam emails from friends you're talking about— but their addresses were @yahoo and @gmail. You can't really point a finger at the mail service on that. It's likely more down to the users' password security than anything else.
@JohnnyJboss: By number of users, I think it's the most popular webmail service. In June this year Microsoft claimed user stats are as follow:
