@Namu: Who would have thought? It figures.

@headclone: In my experience WINE doesn't help much. While support is getting really good, I generally need the app to function 100% correctly in order for it to do me any good at all. Otherwise I'd find a native app that did 90% of what I needed.

@simplegreen: take a closer look. The image is flipped. That's his right hand, Captain Observant.

It has also been said in University studies that Windows is the most securable OS. By which, I believe they meant that because folks don't have an invincibility complex on Windows, there is more software developed to help lock down vulnerabilities.

@Phoshi: Yeah, but what is your case badge performance multiplier?

@digital_frog: I agree. I feel Zoho apps are much more feature complete. Email is the only app where I find Google really shines. I use Zoho notebook as a free alternative to OneNote. The one downside is that Zoho apps usually feel quite a bit slower than Google's offering.

@shkm: Same here. I've got no qualms about using up ram. I bought 8GB for a reason!

I thought you could buy freezer packs for a dollar and change. Maybe that's just the hard plastic ones.

@justsomeotherguy: Windows Media Lossless. Trust me, your ears will never know the difference ;)

This may be an interesting (if paid) Hulu/Netflix solution for folks using game consoles as extenders.

@NortonDoomer: Not the plugin Kevin mentioned. I believe it requires Flash— which the 360 does not support.

@SmartedPander: It's a safe assumption on Lifehacker that people torrent. Maybe not all their content, but enough of it. Seeing as how you propose that I'm horrid at torrenting, I would imagine you base your opinion on an assumed expertise. Quit trying to paint it libel.

Ubuntu is really starting to feel like a reasonable competitor to OSX. Aside from hardware and a handful of (at times crucial) software titles, I can't think of a lot that differentiates the two. Some of the new social integration features in Ubuntu actually leave Mac looking fairly old hat.

@Izod517: I'm confused about the comment "editing the title within Zune is nearly impossible". I've never had an issue with that. I would also second your recommendation of Zune. It's fantastic!

@gpzbc: Agreed. iTunes is the IE6 of music managers.

@SmartedPander: If I stop buying the pass? Once you start subscribing, you won't stop. Download 30 albums in 5-10 minutes, sync in 2 min and go. The torrent equivalent is measured in days if not weeks.

@surjagain: I always found Amarok to be a painful experience. But based on the fact that most linux users worship Amarok, I don't think that's where you were going with that.
