Kaufmania: Mark Webber's Stunt Double
ericdkaufman

I’m honestly surprised that the FIA approved this circuit. Like David Hobbs said yesterday, that looks like a track that they used to run back in the 1960's.

Any specifics on why Kobayashi spun? Following the race via live timing (maybe should’ve paid for the live stream) and it looked like he’s lightning fast in his stints (still holds the fastest lap of the race so far).

The car missed a braking point for an uknown reason and ended up in the run-off area of the run-off area. So it was in a part of the circuit which was not the race track (picture Kimi Raikkonen in Interlagos a few years ago). It then rejoined the track carefully and the front end decided to give up after a few hundred

I guess they had gone wide pretty regularly during the race, not related to the incident.

It’s like tripping over your own shoelaces!

I’m a little lazier than that. desktop calculator and half a brain are my tools ;-)

Whoa! That’s big news

The Ford blew past the Ferrari quite a while back but hasnt gained any significant gap. It’s insanely close with about 4 seconds between them.Man what a race!
Toyota is looking very strong at the front however Porsche could get lucky with pitstops. From my very crude calculations the porsche needs one more fuel stop

The lemans.org site is working perfectly for me. 10 euros well spent!

The WEC app is the best. I’ve streaming to my iPad, which is plugged in to the tv via an HDMI cable. No commercials, no bullshit. Except for a brief few minutes where the stream kept freezing, it’s been perfect; and I think the freezing was due to a cat, not the app.

I said this in the other article, and I’ll say it again now.

Let NBCSN and CNBC cover it next year.

FoxSportsGo cutoff full coverage streaming around 10 pm Pacific. Only Corvette 63 and Ford 69 onboard.

Steph, I thank you. Fox, I hate you.

Oh, oops... lol. Aren’t those types of headlights typically based on steering angle or something? But steering angle would be better for production cars, race car headlights could be programmed to turn automatically before a corner using GPS as you stated...

No no no no no! I meant no disrespect! I'm a HUGE Webber fan! Just recalling his happier days when he wasn't getting the short end at RBR.

Have you tried restarting your browser?

Good as it can be. I feel like I watching HD

Yeah, race car tech really does make it into the road cars!

Currently Toyota 1-2 until the next pit cycle. I’ll be honest, I’m a Porsche fan through and through, but I would shed to tears if Toyota finally made it stick.
