It's a nice album. Great lyrics as usual. Very calm… and sparse. It's got fewer layers than a Weakerthans album. I'm really missing that signature guitar playing. Still, a nice album, but i do hope the Weakerthans get back together eventually. Am i alone in that?

American Idiot is literally them embracing that they're rock stars. It's all been arena rock "riffage" since then. It's dreadful.

The original Good Riddance from the Insomniac sessions is amazing. What they did to it for Nimrod is unspeakable.

I'm glad you like him :) He's pretty good, but Kendrick basically is doing what Kanye thinks he's doing. And humbly, too.

That's what happens when someone great breaks out, new people get into them. That doesn't stop them from being amazing. Also, i don't know who said that, but i'm sure it wasn't more than a few people at most.

I completely agree with you. It's just that anyone who said what that poster said would have to be over 35. It doesn't mean that most people 35+ can't love Kendrick and appreciate him. Hope I'm clear now. Sorry.
