I agree, and given how much effort and attention the devs put into the first game I’d be surprised if they didn’t do that. I’m kind of hoping that Emily is given mostly new powers, and most of Corvo’s powers remain the same and get better in this game.

Luke she’s not orphaned, it’s very heavily implied Corvo is her father so you get to play as father and daughter which is awesome.

Seems to me some of these players were approaching Contra the same way someone would approach Halo. Halo’s ground rules don’t apply on old-school sidescrollers like these.
