I don’t know how to feel about this. I mean, if people are having fun, there’s no reason to take that fun away from them. But... why not check out IRL dance competitions?

I want to compare this with cosplayers at other big competitive events (I’m thinking mostly of Magic the Gathering), but it’s true that people decked out as military personnel complete with fake modern weaponry is not quite the same.

Corpse Run hit me close to home, Double XP made me chuckle, and Soldier stole the show in MGDMT.

I’m pretty sure I’ve visited that spot. I had a fantastic trip with my family and some family friends many years ago. I still use a lot of the pictures I took as desktop wallpapers!

It’s sad that they’re abandoning a new IP to work harder on what are mostly sequels (except for Sea of Thieves). But then again, they probably trust the sequels to sell better than a new IP.

Thanks for the suggestion of Space Marine! That game had fallen off my radar but I remember the demo being loads of fun. A great perk of gaming on a potato is playing older games you missed out on and getting them at a lower price :)

Come to think of it, the ending of the first game doesn’t show Ellie and Joel actually reach the settlement (the last scene takes place on their way there), so who knows if they ever got there. Maybe the settlement was ruined and they had to keep on the move, which would have made Ellie’s life hard for the next 6…

This was a really great series to watch! I can’t see myself doing cosplay in the future, but the people featured in this were quite inspiring.

Not a shop, just the fact that my brother and I commented on how Netrunner-y her aesthetics are (both in personal appearance and the way she hacks). So I thought of this image when I saw the ‘shop theme (the card is called Day Job, it costs you a whole turn but gives you a ton of credits).

As a Ubisoft fan (I live in Montreal, so sue me) and Kotaku fan, I am very glad to see Ubi talking to you again.
