Can you imagine the drama if US Gymnasts has to compete at the Olympics as “Olympic Athletes from the USA” like the Russians did during their doping scandal?  The salt would be unbelievable.  Never happen though, clearly enabling and covering up decades of sexual abuse is nothing in comparison to doping.

Also, correct me if I’m wrong here, but the ending we got for GoT was GRRM’s ending. He met with D&D, laid out his overall plans for the story, and that’s apparently what we got. Yeah it was super disappointing but it also explains why GRRM can’t manage to finish the books when the ending he’s building towards is so

Yeah, not wanting to kids to get scammed is great and all but it’s hard to see how this rule addresses that concern. I’d love to see their argument for how this helps as right now it seems pretty arbitrary.

>If your business isn’t really meant as a hang-out type of place, and relies on throughput to be successful, then offering free wifi isn’t really a benefit that properly aligns with your business goals.

I mean, everything else aside, maybe the reason he can’t get a contract is because he was basically unplayable for the Raptors outside of garbage time and even then he didn’t look good. He was one step up from a turnstile on defence and was atrocious on offence. I’m not trying to be a hater but I don’t see how any GM

There’s nothing wrong with shock value - I *love* a good John Waters movie - but let’s call a spade a spade.

>I expected more from Tarantino.

Whenever I see this kind of casual footage I’m always blown away by how easy these guys make this stuff look. For Lebron dunking a basketball seems to require roughly the same amount of concentration and effort as the average person puts into tying their shoes.

I saw it back when it came out and the entire theatre was dying of laughter.  It probably hasn’t aged well but at the time it was pretty great.

I feel like this is the real answer. Bartending is a job that requires no formal training or certification where often the only criteria for getting hired is either knowing someone or being hot. I’m not calling every bartender a dumbass but it’s certainly a job where being a dummy isn’t a barrier to entry. From time

Lol, people act like Toronto is a barren arctic tundra in the winter. The average winter temperature in Toronto is like 2-3 degrees colder than NYC, so yes a little bit colder but not really a meaningful difference.

Also in a huge bit of irony Moore’s original pitch for Watchmen was using existing characters DC had recently purchased from the defunct Charlton Comics. DC liked the story but wouldn’t let him use the characters so Moore went off and created new ones. DC’s rationale was that they thought Moore’s story was too extreme

Mignola is really great at atmosphere and world building but the stories themselves are often weak or start out strongly but fizzle out. Also I don’t know why he spent so many years refusing to draw the comics himself and trying to find an artist who would draw them exactly the way he would except not as good; his

But still not in New York.

How is that fair to the players who are still playing? Or their teams for that matter? Someone like Klay has to wait until mid June to start his free agency while Kemba gets to start in April?  Can’t see how either the players or the teams would be for that.

Yes but they’re in Canada so no FA ever signs there anyway regardless of tampering.

I think the existence of the Lakers is a pretty clear example of why this take is incorrect. The Lakers FO is a flaming dumpster fire which was until very recently represented by a gaffe-prone boob who couldn’t stop putting his foot in his mouth whenever he opened it yet Lebron went there as a FA and AD demanded a

This reminds me of all the hot-takes conservatives always spit out about the homeless making tax-free money hand over fist because they once saw a homeless person listening to an iPod.

>Since the best free agents will base their decisions on teams’ recent performance

>freewheeling plotting, which stays loose and languid until hitting the fast-forward button in the last half hour of this two-and-a-half hour film
