Tzatziki all day every day. Also, plain Greek yogurt in lieu of sour cream is a healthy substitute in many recipes.

Because they’re trying to minimize the chances of a bunch of Nazis showing up and murdering people.
Trump made all this very difficult. I talked to a couple of my bosses, who by virtue of things they’ve said over the past decade, I consider somewhat racist, who would not vote for Trump “because he’s racist.” That’s good! But it didn’t erase from my memory the racist talking points I’ve heard come out of their…
Where do you live Iceland?
How come women can’t go sleeveless when Paul Ryan is allowed to go spineless?
Yeah, but this was a ripe opportunity to gain some sort of ground with folks who want a third party.
I understand voters who want an outsider who “can shake up the system”.
“The Intercept published a full transcript of the “very friendly” April phone between Donald Trump and his strongman crush Rodrigo Duterte”
Saying that certain people should not be protected by the law because they have views you don’t share is a very slippery slope to start on.
Why would you say that? I think that the law that was in place was a good one as it protects victims. Here, you may not like the victims’ politics/religion or whatever, but that doesn’t mean they should be excluded from the law that protects them.
Was your friend an LPR and not a US citizen? You can get a K1 fiancee visa fairly quickly and that allows the foreign fiancee to come live here before the marriage and while the immigrant visa is being processed. But that only works for fiancees and spouses of US citizens.
I’m just going to post my comment verbatim from the Fusion post on this yesterday. The tl;dr version is that under our immigration laws you can’t simply “issue a visa” to someone fleeing harm, which sucks for the Chechens and makes everything more difficult.
conspiracy hive InfoWars suggested today that the Washington Post’s report that Donald Trump shared classified information with Russia was a cover-up to distract from the latest “Seth Rich bombshell,” as they put it.
Kendall Jenner, who lately modeled political resistance by offering soda to a cop, joined photographer Mario Testino…
But Steven, there will come a day where your daughters (almost 6 and almost 3 for me) want to watch you do you Skyward Sword re-playthrough. They will ask when you will find Zelda. They will run out of the room when you have to fight the Imprisoned. You will read them all the text, even though it slows you down. They…
It’s an extremely important detail because kids granted relief under DACA are sometimes under the mistaken impression that it’s a path to citizenship and “legitimacy” in the eyes of the American legal system. It’s not. DACA is a shitty bandaid, which is more than a kick in the pants, but it’s not what these kids…
It’s extremely relevant because it belies how fragile DACA is and how its very existence—and the rights of the 750,000 people who have it to stay in the country—relies entirely on the President.
It’s important because by falsely stating that “DACA gives citizenship”, you’re perpetuating the dumb argument made about how lazy these DACA kids are for not working hard enough for citizenship. Or that other undocumented immigrants aren’t doing enough to get citizenship when 99% of the time THERE IS NO PATHWAY.
It’s quite a distinction and a glaring inaccuracy. If Jezebel is going to report on news then they have a responsibility to report the news accurately. This is how misinformation gets spread which is a problem for a lot of us but especially for immigrants where there are so many people willing to exploit their lack…
DACA is NOT a path to citizenship! It’s just temporary relief from deportation and work authorization.
