I remember having a MindDrive for the PC back in the 90s. You would put a sensor on your finger and control simple games. It was janky at best, but it did work. I was particularly fond of a skiing game that I learned to control not by thinking the words “left” or “right”, but by thinking of the concepts of left and

Wow, that trailer was exceedingly Miyazaki.

Pumpkin Spice Red Vines is the most California thing ever to not involve an avocado.

I am interested but tentative. The worst mistake they could make is to have the cat talk. The game was at its best when all of the robots were simply reacting to a cat being a cat.

That’s what I did. It was a spiffy little console. I sold mine once I got a PS5 and a Steam Deck though. With those 2 consoles, my Series S became redundant.

Yeah, he pulled the rare feat of directing an animated film that got an Oscar nomination for cinematography after all. It’s a shame he can’t find a good story to hang these production values on.

So, Zack Snyder’s Galaxy Quest?

What about a post-apocalyptic sports movie? I don’t particularly like Snyder’s work, but he could pull off a decent remake of The Blood of Heroes (aka Salute of the Jugger).

I was going to say Snyder went full Terrance Malick at the beginning of that trailer, but that might be giving Snyder too much credit for knowing who Malick is.

And he swallowed every drop.

Scott Pilgrim himself is a complete moron, oblivious to anyone and anything whose only quality is that he is well meaning most of the time? Why does anyone like him?

That strategy would work really well for Game of Thrones too.

I’m psyched for the show. While the movie was a great adaptation, the second half of the books (which hadn’t been written yet) are better than the second half of the film in every way. The way the latter books depicted Scott becoming more self-aware and growing up was so much more well-earned.

That depends on what kind of titles you’re in to. The appeal for the deck for me are indie games which don’t demand a lot of the processor, and for that, it works really well. (Except for when I hit wave 25 and later on Brotato, then holy cow it drops to about 5fps. Honestly, I find it kind of funny.)

You joke, but The Lego Movie and Barbie have both proved all it takes are great writers and directors.

I’m not a fan of the season ending with a cliffhanger simply because even without the strikes, it still would’ve been a long time between seasons. Back in the day of TNG/DS9, it was only a 4-month wait between episodes, but now it’ll be at least 9 and likely more than that.

Now I’m just thinking of that Toast of London episode where he and Ray Bloody Purchase have to do ADR for a gay porno together.

I don’t know. I thought my friend was nuts for spending $400 on a Beta Black Lotus back in the early aughts. That sucker’s worth tens of thousands of dollars now.

One of my favorite moments in SF comes from one of the games in the Alpha series. Every time Ken and Ryu are matched up, Ken gives Ryu a pre-fight noogie. It’s very cute.
