I’m okay with the occasional gameplay shift. FFVII had mandatory snowboarding after all. My only problem was how long the Eikon fight took. I was just mashing an endless amount of fireballs at Ifrit and each one would only do about a pixel’s worth of damage.

I had zero interest in FFXVI, but tried out the demo just to confirm that it wasn’t for me.

My favorite album this year by far is “Anochi” by GEZAN with Million Wish Collective. It’s a completely gonzo collaboration between 2 Japanese experimental bands. It’s so bonkers and joyous and unlike anything I’ve heard before.

John Travolta in Battlefield Earth puts together one of the funniest performances I’ve ever seen. Just watch the scene where he tries to determine what humans like to eat. “He’s eating rat. RAT MUST BE HIS FAVORITE FOOD!!!” It’s a wonder how the Psychlos conquered entire planets considering they’re too stupid to

I kind of want Probst to step aside. With each season of Survivor, it’s become more and more The Probst Show. Seriously, just compare his commentary during challenges from the early seasons to the modern seasons. He barely said anything back then and now he doesn’t shut up.

I could see them replacing Padma with Gregory Gourdet as well. Much like Kristen Kish, he already does a ton of Top Chef related things, and was a frequent guest judge on recent seasons. My biggest fear is replacing Padma with Richard Blais. What a tool.

The trailers sure do make the movie look like The Flash: Into the Flasherverse

The first sentence of the second paragraph mentions Gadsby is a co-curator, so I simply looked up who else gets credit.

That sounds familiar. I didn’t come out to myself as bi until my early 30s. It was definitely one of those “well that explains a whole lot” moments. Growing up in the 80s and 90s caused me to hide those feelings so far back in my brain. It just feels like so much wasted time.

PT Anderson is also quite fond of his oners. They’re pretty flashy early in his career like the opening scene of Boogie Nights, but grow more subtle as his career goes on, like Alma observing Reynolds’s team make the dress.

Mr Robot did it a few times. One was an entire episode made to look like a single shot. However, there’s a better oner in another episode that’s a scene of an ambush at a hotel in China that’s absolutely nuts.

From Brooklyn Museum’s website:

Part of what made the special work is you’re expecting comedy, but then they blindside you with something completely different. There’s a lot of tension in wondering if it’s all building up to some huge punchline until the creeping realization that they’re not fucking around dawns on you.

It’s been over a decade since I’ve been there. The last time I was there was for a Basquiat exhibit which was pretty cool.

After a long 8-month absence, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are finally releasing a new album June 16th: PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation

Counterpoint: The Prisoner of Benda. Math was invented for that episode. Math! Plus, it has one of my favorite scenes in Futurama: when washbucket (in Amy’s body) professes her love for Scruffy.

“Roswell” is one of my favorite episodes of any show ever. “Oh, a lesson in not changing history from Mr. I’m-my-own-grandpa” cracks me up every time.

Three times, no less!

The only one I’ve seen was The Jungle Book and it was surprisingly not bad. There’s also a bonkers musical number with Christopher Walken as a giant orangutan.

Ok, I wasn’t much interested in SF6 until reading about that single player story mode. Street Fighter Alpha 3 had something similar and it was a lot of fun.
