Blasphemy. Those are two of the most fun rounds. The worst by far are Jinxed and Hoarders.

The only time a bank teller looked at me suspiciously while I made a withdrawal was when I needed $9,990 in cash from a bank just a few miles from an international airport. There was a small committee meeting of tellers and the bank manager for about 10 minutes before they finally gave it to me. (Why yes, I am white.)

It’s contempt for the audience. Hollywood still sees gamers as either children or immature man-children. This should change as time goes on and more producers are people who grew up on video games. The same thing happened with animation and comic books, 2 things that were considered children’s entertainment in their

Ariadne also acts as an audience surrogate when she’s given dream training by Cobb and Arthur.

Delroy Lindo is the biggest snub. I feel like he should’ve gotten LaKeith Stanfield’s spot if only because Stanfield was clearly the lead of JATBM.

Yeah, Youn Yuh-jung was first hilarious, then heart breaking in Minari. She absolutely nailed the part of lovable troll grandma.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things was probably too weird for the Academy, but yeah, bummer for no acting nods.

Good call on the Howard/Bad Spielberg vibes. I found the direction of Chicago 7 fairly by-the-numbers, and the final scene downright cheesy. (But listening to Sorkin’s dialogue is always fun at least.)

Also, the Academy has a rule that all sequels are considered adapted from the original.

It does seem to be a weak year in terms of best picture nominees, but give credit to Nomadland and Judas and the Black Messiah. The former is gorgeous, beautifully directed and acted (by a mostly non-professional cast at that), and hits on a lot of feelings with a subtle touch. The latter has a lot of The Departed

This straight up confuses me. I had Delroy Lindo as a lock to win Best Supporting Actor.

“He has my father’s eyes.”

It’s downright disturbing. It’s perfectly done.

I download a lot of board game apps on iOS and the first thing I turn off is the music.

I can watch that scene on an endless loop. Not only does Tatum play out that epiphany perfectly. whoever added in the kitchen timer sound effect is a comedic genius.

All the Pirates movies are about a half hour too long, and At World’s End makes no damn sense whatsoever. Still, it has my favorite scene of the series: when Geoffrey Rush marries Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly mid-battle. It’s a brilliant moment of absurdity that the films excel at (especially with Geoffrey Rush’s

Yeah, I feel like it’s unfairly dumped on. Margot Robbie’s clearly having a blast, Mary Elizabeth Winstead gave Huntress a hilarious awkwardness, and Ewan McGregor and Chris Messina make for the best gay villainous couple since Dustin Hoffman and Bob Hoskins in Hook.

Fall Guys on Switch is a total no-brainer. I hope they eventually allow accounts to link across platforms.

Wow... I’m totally onboard for a Malek Gomez. I don’t think he could match Raul Julia’s energy, but he could take that character off into some weird directions.
