Surprise crossover! It’s going to be called Fast and Fury(Road 2) 8

Who thinks we might be trapped in a black mirror episode?

Finally I get to share my story publicly in a setting where people WANT to hear it!!! In December 2014, I started having really massive stomach cramps. I thought perhaps I had eaten something bad, or was PMSing, but these cramps were constant. I couldn’t sleep, I stopped being able to eat. I couldn’t stand up

Sweet god in heaven

staph infection

I feel like I can’t compete with the writer’s story, but for me it was a period/virus combo. I had clots the size of guinea pigs dropping out of my vagina as I sat shaking on the toilet shitting my brains out while throwing up into a trashcan.

who is that cross-eyed goober

Keep pounding the pavement. Although unicorns in the city are becoming harder and harder to find.

When I first got a new job in the tri-state area I thought I was ‘rich’ because my salary doubled from where I moved from. Then I found out that it’s because living expenses are insane. $1450 a month in Stamford, CT for 600 sq. ft. That would buy a 3bdr loft where I’m from.

I have the Unicorn apartment in Brampton. I knew I was lucky when I got it. I know I’m lucky now. And I’m never leaving. I think my landlord just figured it out because she tried to jack my rent up 30% to start (which would probably still make it cheap). I freaked out until I called the Landlord Tenant Board and they

Funny enough, I’m selling my house to rent for a bit and I’m shocked at how much cheaper it’s is to rent vs buy.

Renting in Toronto, you have my sympathies.

Yeah, rent is high in general. When I finally decide to move out, I’ll be looking at roughly $800-$1000 per month for a one bedroom in Dallas. It will probably be much more wherever I find permanent work, after I get my degree.

Consider getting a realtor to help. It’s free for you and they might be able to find you something you couldn’t otherwise.

I payed 1750 for my rent there (sobs). Is Parkdale still cheapish?

Look on the bright side, you’ll have better luck finding one in Toronto than Vancouver.

Try Berkley Apts - 210 Wychwood. I lived there for a while. It’s a post-war walk-up in a nice neighbourhood 1 block to the St Clair streetcar with hardwood floors, cranky windows and pets are allowed. Rent was around $1k inclusive a couple years ago.

There has got to be group action that can be taken to break the hold of these landlords. Rent control of some kind, or communal housing banks...
