It makes me wonder if they had initially planned on pairing them off but it got scrapped, with elements remaining.

I think the point here is that it should not have been a digression.  That it would have been is just evidence that the new trilogy wasn’t all that well constructed.

Yeah, so many of these concepts both sequel and prequel are better than what the movies gave us; some of it has the benefit of hindsight and retconning, but they’re still much more interesting 

Yeah, aside from the kikimora, striga, djinn, green and gold dragons, cursed hedgehog knight and doppler...no monsters whatsoever.

I’m not changing how I address a room to make up for <0.01% of the population suffering from mental trauma. I guarantee the potential buyers or partners I present to will have no qualms about it. Nice try though!

What a bunch of bullshit, get real, we all know you’re a huge part of the blame for how disjointed and vapid a lot of the new trilogy has been. Even if you like the new ones its obvious they needed more time in the oven, specifically the overarching story for all three stories.

“Well, first of all, when we sat down to do Force Awakens we spent a great deal of time working out all three movies” Let me stop you right there. That is literally the one thing you did NOT do. 

Good for Pete Davidson! It’s about time he stood up to people coming to see his shows! I, for one, will help him out by not going to them. Take that, audiences!
