They had to juggle so much that even if something hit the floor, I didn’t notice it. All the craziness, all of the subplots - it was truly an 80's-90's crossover comic arc and tuned into that collecting era fantastically.

Downey and Scarjo definitely had a voice on the narrative arc. Feige isn’t dumb - they probably had 5 different takes on how things would play out and narrowed down each arc after Downey made his choice.  What do you think?
