A more appropriate answer is that it honestly depends. It would depend on how many different parts of their code base are causing the issues and how coupled all of their systems are. More likely it wouldn’t help, but its entirely possible a couple of extra people could be beneficial depending on the issues.

That’s a dumb analogy. A piece of paper implies there is only one thing everyone can work on which is no where near true. There are probably numerous different subsystems so a more appropriate analogy would be people typing up different parts of an essay and pulling them together.
