gay male cluelessness to me

The entire thing was the first one. The character was killed off due to actress commitments to another show it appears. That scenario gives them three choices as I can see:

I’m puzzled that people are up in arms about Denise dying on TWD, as if that’s the most shocking stupid death we’ve seen, when earlier in that episode there was a fucking drowned child in a sink. Not to mention how many kids they’ve killed on the show. Or black people.

“While we’re here, I’ve got bad news for Lincoln fans...”

You are the voice of reason. Go forth and multiply as fast as you can.

As a member of the LGBT+ community I could not give a fuck if the character was gay/bi/lesbian and is killed off in a show where people die regularly.

I don’t believe for a second that they would have brushed Lexa off the show if they didn’t have to, which they did. She’s contracted to Fear the Walking Dead. There’s no way you can have her leave the village forever and be banished or something, that’s even less satisfying. I get that the LGBT community is pissed,

I feel it should once again be pointed out, as the piece itself ignored, is that there was no way for Lexa to continue to be in the show as the actress plays a main character on FtWD and it was apparently a hassle to get the actress for as many episodes as they did. Add to that that Lexa was such a prominent character

Javier Grillo-Marxuach, the writer of the episode, has been doing the real damage control on Twitter and Tumblr. His thoughtful engagement with distraught fans has given me faith that the new Xena series is in good hands.
